Ryan started preschool on September 1st and has been doing great! He goes 2 days a week and has so much fun. When I tell him you have school tomorrow he excitedly says "SCHOOL", "FUN" and "PLAY". He gathers his backpack, lunchbox and nap mat and gets it all ready for the next day. The teacher sends a note home of all he did that day and it has been always been positive. He eats all his snack and lunch and takes a nap. He loves playing in the kitchen, with trains and play do and loves the slide outside too. He was a little shy at first and didn't want to do art but he finally participated in art yesterday! Gooooooo Ryan! I'm so proud of my big boy. I think he watched his big brothers go to school and how much fun they had so it was an easy transition. Here some pictures of Ryan at school.

We don't have any baby dolls at home so this was a new fun thing for him. I'm so happy he has adjusted well. Labor Day has come and gone and it was pretty quiet for us. We had birthday parties to attend but other than that it was much needed down time. The boys decided we needed to decorate for Fall so we did that. I just love Fall colors and the smell of pumpkin spice so I didn't put up a fight at all.

Scott started physical therapy a few weeks ago to help his balance so hopefully he will see improvement. I am so proud that he has stuck with his monthly IV treatment for over a year
now. Staying positive and taking care of yourself goes a long way.

Summer is coming to a close so we are trying to fit in all the swim time that we can. Here are the boys swimming with their buddy Kai. They were standing on the side of the pool jumping in and having a blast!

The BIG news is that Jayson and Justin started Kindergarten!!!! I am such a proud mommy. I cried the night before while reading a sweet poem their teachers wrote for them but I had no tears at school while dropping them off. I was too excited and proud to cry. The boys LOVE Kindergarten already. It has been such an easy transition for them and they are making new friends and becoming their own little dudes. I am so happy they are in separate classes and that we waited to start them until this year.

In other Big news was Jonathan and Lauren's engagement party in West. My mom did an awesome job decorating and planning such a fun party. Lauren's family is so much fun too. There were 5 guitars, a mandolin, and a harmonica playing until almost 2am. We sang and had a wonderful time.

A funny game my mom had them play. She asked a series of questions and they
had to raise the shoe of the one who was "most likely to..." once they get married. Notice the poster boards in the background. They were covered in pictures of Jonathan and Lauren through the years. It really was a neat party.

Such a fun month! This week Ryan starts preschool so I hope that goes well and he enjoys his new routine. It should be interesting! He will be turning 2 in October which is just right around the corner. The fun just never ends!

Wow, it has been a while since I've updated. I went to see Wicked mid July and loved it! That was so much fun to do with Jonathan and Lauren and her parents. Here is us before the show at Seco's. Their rehearsal dinner will be here too.Then we had a birthday party for Ryan's friend, and a girl's night at Lopez with a few ladies I haven't seen in years. We were middle school and high school cheerleaders together. It's so fun to catch up...over margaritas. The kids and I then packed up and went to West to visit mom for her birthday. It was such a wonderful, relaxing trip. The best part was sitting outside at night with the boys and looking for stars, airplanes, planets and the moon in the beautiful country sky. It's amazing how much clearer you can see it all without the big city buildings and pollution. Ryan had a blast when we fed the cows and fish. I think he loved my parents donkey, Barack most of all. He started calling all the cows Barack too. HA! He talked to the cows a lot this trip. The boys are going to enjoy visiting the farm for many years to come. When we got home, the boys had to go in for Kindergarten readiness testing. I can't believe school starts in 2 weeks! Such an exciting time for them and us too. We went school supply shopping and school clothes shopping so they are almost all set! Work has been exciting too since we made profit sharing for the 2nd Quarter. That was a nice surprise and now I have Christmas shopping money!!!! Woohoo! Aside from all of this we have been trying to go to the pool as often as we can and enjoy the rest of the summer. Here is Scott, Justin and Ryan enjoying the refreshing water. This weekend we are going to visit Scott's parents in Kingwood one last time before school starts. Soon we will be traveling back to West for Jonathan and Lauren's engagement party on August 21st. So much excitement! Here is one final picture of my cool kids. I also signed the boys up for Fall soccer with FFPS so we will be wrapped up in school and soccer very soon. I just love my life!!!

July has been jam packed already with fun and excitement. This past weekend I went on a Girl's Trip to Wimberley to stay at Chessa's parents cabin. There were 5 of us that went and we met up with a couple more girls during the day as well. It was such a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable trip. I laughed so much with my girlfriends and can't wait to go again.

The Twin's 6th birthday party was a BLAST!!!! Literally is was a blast because it was a Space Ship themed party. We had their party at Westwood Gymnastics in Katy and the kids all had a great time...and parents too! Who doesn't love trampolines, balance beams and foam pits??? Here are a few pictures of my sweet boys. The cool space ship cookie cake! YUM. I made matching cupcakes too and JoJo made the famous Big Red ice cream.

On their actual birthday, we took a family trip to NASA Space Center of Houston! It was so much fun for us all even though the weather outside was quite scary that day. First stop was McDonald's by the Space Center. It was cool to go there since I remember doing this when I was a kid.The family photo at NASA. We spent hours there, especially on the giant floor to ceiling play area. They had so much fun! After NASA Uncle J and Lauren cake over with a homemade birthday cake. The video won't upload for some reason but they put trick candles on top of the cake. It was hilarious to watch their faces as the candles kept coming back to life!

We went to Pecan Grove to watch fireworks on the 4th of July. The kids were all sick so it was quite an adventure. Here they are playing before the fireworks started.

Well the summer is calming down for us now so I assume we will spend more time at the pool and laying around. My mom bought me tickets to see Wicked, so this Saturday I will go see that with Jonathan and Lauren. I can't wait! July is half way over already and the boys start Kindergarten next month. I can't wait to take them school supply shopping! Is that weird?

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible school at Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church was a blast last week. I volunteered in the Preschool room and wow...I was exhausted! It was a lot of fun for the kids so here is a few pictures of the excitement.

Love this one. They had such a good time! Bye VBS...until next week when they go to JoJo's church and do it again. They are having a Rainforest theme in Waco. Sounds fun!

We went straight to the tub after that! The twins are in Waco now and Ryan sure does miss his bubbas. He cried like crazy went they drove off in my mom's car and kept saying "Bubbas" over and over. Then at home he pointed to their pictures and had a rough night of crying and not sleeping. By the time he gets used to them being gone, they will be back! I love how much he loves them. We call them everyday and he gets to say hi to them and his sweet face just lights up when he hears their voice. When they return Friday he will be sooooooo excited. Then we have their birthday party on Saturday. I can't believe my boys will be 6!!! Where have the years gone? More to come with party pics.

Summer Fun!

Trains, pools, and birthdays OH MY!!! Summer is off to a busy start but so much fun already! Here is what we have been up to. Ryan has become somewhat obsessed with his big brothers train set. So much so that we don't even put it away at night when we clean up. We just push it to the side. He plays for hours!!! Then when I put him to bed, the first thing he says when he wakes up...Train! So this is what Ryan looks like most days...well he usually has clothes on but he has just finished some messy watermelon in the below pictures.

Then of course we are hanging by the pool a lot. We pack snacks and make a fun time of it. Jayson and Justin are little fish this summer! They can do it all...diving boards, slides, and jumping in all by themselves and swimming back to the side. It's AWESOME!

My 31st birthday was the best! Everyone was so sweet and made me feel so special. Here is me eating my fabulous cake made by Melody.

THE CAKE! It was 6 layers of fruity goodness. Strawberry, Orange, Lemon, Kiwi, Blueberry and Grape. The whip cream topped it off perfectly! Delightful!

We had a nice, relaxing LONG Memorial Day weekend. I took Friday off as well so it was a 4 day weekend and so much fun! Here are a few pictures from the spray park we visited. The boys loved it so we will go back a lot this summer.

Besides the spray park, we went to Kingwood and hung out in Aunt Lisa's new pool for 3 hours. The twins became expert swimmers and even jumped off the diving board and swam to the side all by themselves over and over. Those swim lessons sure paid off!!! After Kingwood I went to Tomball to see Vicki and Cindy Haynes and then to visit Michelle who had her fourth baby. Little Cole is only 2 weeks old and such a cutie pie. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing at the house and playing games with my favorite kids! Ryan talks so much now. His vocabulary increases everyday. It's so cute to hear him say things for the first time. He is becoming such a big boy now. This weekend Scott and I enjoyed a date day to Chuy's for drinks and excellent food without the boys. It was so nice to spend time together. My birthday is creeping up next week so we may be back to Chuy's very soon! Also coming up this month is Vacation Bible School and the twin's 6th birthday party. Stay tuned...

I can't believe summer is here already! I haven't even sat down and planned out their activities to keep them busy! I better get to work on that. Graduation day was a little sad for me. My babies are so grown up and starting elementary school. That is such a weird concept for me. How can they already be old enough for "big kid" school? I am proud of everything they have learned this year and can't wait to watch them excel when they start Oakland Elementary in the Fall. So for now, I need to make some exciting summer plans for them. They will go to VBS, and spend some time and the grandparents house. Their birthday party is coming up at the end of June and we are taking them to NASA for their actual birthday. I'm sure we will make it to the beach sometime and have a few play dates with their old classmates. Hopefully Scott doesn't lose his mind at home this summer with all 3 boys. Good luck babe!!! You can do it!

Now that school and tee ball are about over, we plan to spend a lot of time swimming at the pool this summer!!! There are many thing to look forward to...Pre-K graduation this week, Vacation Bible School X2, the twins 6th birthday party, and a visit from Aunt Gina, Uncle Royce and cousins Tyler and Kaley! We also have plenty of other family birthdays in between!

Tomorrow is Scott and my 9th wedding anniversary!!! Look at us kids!!! So young and naive. I love you babe! Happy Anniversary and I look forward to many more!
I am excited to have a date night with him alone without kids!!! JoJo is coming to watch the boys and spend some time with them. Life is so good. I count my blessings everyday! We may be poor, but momma sure is happy!

The boys had a Mother's Day tea at their school that was so special. They served me breakfast, sang songs, recited a sweet Mother's Day poem, and gave me a wonderful gift. They even gave me purple flowers to take home. I really love being a mom. I am reminded everyday what an awesome job it is to be a mother. It is the most rewarding job in the world and I am so grateful to have been given these precious gifts. I have the most amazing boys that show me how much they love me each and every day. They warm my heart and make me smile all the time. I just can't get enough! Here are other pictures from the Mother's Day tea.

Well when Tee Ball is over it will be summer time! The pool will open in May, they will attend VBS at our church and mom's church in Waco and they will visit the grandparents as often as possible before they start Kindergarten this Fall. Oh how time flies... I want to soak up every second of being their mommy and spending precious time with them.

This week has been another fun one. The boys had a couple tee ball games where they are really improving and starting to get kids out. They are also starting to catch the ball in the air when thrown instead of just grounders. It is really cool to watch them learn the game and get so much better! In addition to many other goodies, the Easter bunny brought them Kohl's gift cards so I took them shopping for summer clothes and they asked to pick out some summer pj's. We had a popcorn and movie night on Sunday and they were SUPER excited to wear their new Super Mario Bro's pj's. Look at those smiles!

This brings back so many memories of gym class at school. This is so fun! On the count of three they lifted the parachute thing and all sat underneath it to make a tent. Then they sang Happy Birthday to Matthew. 1...2...3...Go!

We had a storm here on Sunday that fried the boys Nintendo Wii. They played that like crazy and they are very sad it is gone. The past two nights without it we have done puzzles for hours and then a parade last night. I had to get the camera out when Ryan suddenly became the parade leader. It was pretty funny to watch him lead the way banging his drum.

Ryan has his 18 month shots tomorrow which is no fun at all. After that I have a parent teacher conference at the boys school. They are all registered for Kindergarten now so it will be sad to visit with their teacher knowing they only have a few weeks left in her class. She has been amazing!!! My mom is coming in town so her and PaPa can come to the baseball game Friday night and watch the boys play. They only have 6 games left. Summer is right around the corner! I have been doing well on Weight Watchers and have now lost 17lbs. I still have a bit more to go but I am please with my progress and so is my doctor I saw yesterday. Gooo Me!

Awesome April

April has flown by with all the activities we have had going on. We left April 1st for West to celebrate Easter at JoJo and PaPa's house. It was so restful and nice. Then we have been busy with baseball since we returned. The boys have really improved! See the pictures below of all the fun we have been having.

It has really been fun to watch them over the last several weeks. I can see many years ahead of me cheering for my boys. Those cheerleading days taught me a thing or two. My voice projects very loud and they always hear their momma yelling for them.

Ryan turned 18 months and is really starting to talk more. He is so funny and repeats almost everything now. It is neat to figure out what he is trying to tell you. He sure loves his big brothers and wants to do whatever they are doing. He loves trains, trucks, and playing outside the best. Thank goodness he is such a portable little guy because he is along for the ride everywhere we take the big boys these days; school, games, church activities, and all. I look forward to seeing his little personality grow as time goes on.

One of Ryan's favorite toys is his shopping cart. He loads it up with toys and pushes it all over the house. The other night he decided to load something else in the cart... Check it out. Cracks me up! He is going to be ruling the roost and telling his big brothers what to do before long. He was doing this over and over before I finally got out the camera to record it.

Egg Hunt and Palm Sunday

We had a nice weekend at our fabulous church! Saturday they had a bunny breakfast and egg hunt. The kids had so much fun. Ryan wasn't so sure about the bunny this year but I got him to sit by his brothers for enough time to snap a photo in the same frame as the Easter bunny. HA!

This photo was taken 2 secs before Jayson dropped than enormous strawberry all over his white polo shirt. The rest of the day he had a messy shirt. It looks like he rolled it across the front and back of his shirt, but thanks to Shout...momma got it all out!

The twins were done hunting eggs in 2.5 seconds so I didn't get any photos. here they are helping Ryan who LOVED filling up his basket this year. They kept falling out and he kept putting them back in.

On Sunday we went to the Palm Sunday service which was so great. The boys held palm leaves and paraded around the church. Then they went to the front and sang a few songs. Super mom here forgot her camera at home so just imagine how cute it was! This week is filled with Tee Ball games and practice and then Thursday we head to West for Easter. I am looking forward to some relaxation with mom and the family there.

Rodeo and Spring Break

It has been a busy couple of weeks! I went to the rodeo 3 times this year and took the boys with me twice. We just couldn't get enough. They loved all the carnival rides. Ryan rode the carousel and got really excited, but that was all for him this year. The big boys did every ride they were allowed to get on...multiple times. The twins were out of school all last week for Spring Break. They went to JoJo and PaPa's house in West for the week and had a blast! I told them the fun was going to end when they came home. HA! They went to the museum, park, zoo, movies, Chuck E Cheese's, fishing, nature walks, roasted marshmallows and made smores, the list goes on and on! They also ate like grown men and came home almost 2 lbs heavier! Thanks mom for such a great time for the boys. They told her we didn't have enough Easter decorations so she sent them home with some new Spring decor and Easter bunny baking goods. Here are the muffins we baked Saturday morning.

Scott and I enjoyed a much quieter week with just Ryan although he started talking much more last week and hasn't stopped. It was nice to have some one-on-one time with Ryan. He is such a sweet baby and I just can't believe how fast he is growing up. He does so many big boy things it just blows my mind. He understands everything I say and follows commands perfectly. He's a great helper and loves to pick up his toys when I sing the "clean up" song. He's a great eater and says "Mmmmm" with most things I offer him. He is such a momma's boy and wants me all the time when I am home. Some newer words he says: book, Hi, hello, bubbles, bath, up, bubbas, cracker, ball, and nigh nigh. He probably says about 15-20 words and can even put a few together. He says "bubbles ina bath" and "there it is" when pointing to his belly button. He is very curious and points at everything and babbles like he is telling you all about it. Here is my cutie taking his bath.

Well that sums up the past few weeks and now we are gearing up for Tee ball games and our trip to West for Easter. It is also GiGi's birthday tomorrow so Happy Birthday GiGi!!!

Opening Day for Lamar Little League was a huge success! We had a great time starting at 8am Saturday morning for the parade. It was like a REAL parade with firetrucks and floats and the boys rode in a very decorated truck and threw out candy. SUPER CUTE! Ryan didn't know what was going on with all the sirens, noise and candy being thrown at him but it was pretty neat. Following the parade the boys took their tee ball pictures and team photos and then played at the ball field for a while on the playground and moonwalk. Then they had their first game where I am happy to report they both did awesome! I am such a proud momma. All those years of cheerleading really got me ready to cheer on my boys. Their team got 9 outs and many great hits. We crushed the other team (yes I know it is tee ball but it is true). Ryan loved watching his brothers play too. He kept pointing saying "bubba". This is one of many new words in his vocab. Well, I can't wait for the next game to see Jayson and Justin in action again! I love being a baseball mom!

Today is already an exiting day for me. I have been doing the Weight Watchers program since January and have steadily been losing weight. As of today I have lost a total of 15.5 lbs!!!! I couldn't be more excited to see the number on the scale this morning. I have about 9 more lbs to lose to reach my weight watcher goal but my personal goal is 5lbs on top of that for a total of 14lbs to go. I should just go in and adjust my weight watcher goal but it is more fun to be so close. I am so happy with the results and can't wait until I can say I have reached my personal goal weight! Summer...here I come!

Trip to Louisiana and Tee ball prac

We loaded up and took a trip to Houma, Louisiana last weekend unfortunately because Scott's Uncle John passed away. We have been trying to get to LA to visit family for a while now but with 3 little boys and Scott's crazy work schedule it has been almost 10 years since we have been there. The boys did very well in the car for 6 hours and loved the hotel we stayed at. Aside from the sad reason we took the trip, it was wonderful to see Scott's family on both sides. I didn't get any photos with his mom's side of the family because we were so busy, but we had a great time with all of them as well. The pictures below are not in order very well but I'm too lazy to redo it all.

The first night we arrived after being in the car for hours I found a mall nearby and took the kids to play. I never put a coin in any of these machines and they had tons of fun playing on them. Woohoo for my cheapness!

It has been a super busy week after the road trip and practice so I am really looking forward to this weekend. We have practice both Saturday and Sunday. I can't believe it will be March next week. Where has the time gone??? There are many fun things coming up in March so stay tuned.

Valentine's Weekend

This is the face of TROUBLE! Don't let this sweet face and cute little dimple fool you. This boy is a crazy one. He has learned to climb on almost anything in the house now and he surely keeps you on your toes!

The boys had their first Tee Ball practice this Saturday. Too cute! I just snapped one photo but there will be many to come once they start playing games. If the smiles on their face are any indication to how this season will go, I think it will be great fun for them. Here a coach is teaching Justin how to catch a ground ball. They did many different drills. So cool to watch.

Caitlyn's 3rd birthday party was Saturday at Monkey Bizness. The kids had a great time bouncing and especially climbing the rock wall! Here is Ryan checking everyone out from the bench. To me his face says "Whoa, those are some big bouncy things". He was completely terrified when I took him in one. No bouncy things for Ryan anytime soon.

We had a great Valentine's Day! Scott and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for a nice dinner without the boys. Then the kids and Scott gave me roses and chocolate covered strawberries with a sweet card. They know how to spoil their momma. I got Scott a cookie cake and gave the boys lots of sweet treats! Who would have thought I could have so much fun watching the Superbowl with the kids??? Well it was the best! They were interested in the football game, cheering for the Saints, and making up fun games to do throughout the evening. We threw a football around for over an hour and they did great playing catch. Scott was working that evening and informed us he was rooting for the Colts. I was cheering for the Saints and the boys said they wanted "mommy's team" to win. Great job Saints and thanks for making me look cool to the boys! Check out all of the fun below.

January was filled with fun times with the kids. We had a few play dates with friends and great times at home. Here are a few photos of things we did in January.

The boys found gift boxes left over from Christmas and have had many nights of fun playing with them. They make towers and Ryan knocks them down, they wrap their own gifts in them, and they found a new fun game...sitting in them.

We went to play at Kai's house and the boys were introduced to Twister. It was pretty funny to watch them all play. I even got in there and played for a bit. Twister=Fun times!

Ryan's new thing is that he found his belly button. If you ask him "Where's your button" he lifts up his shirt, points to it and says "there is".

The kids school had Dad's Night in January where they show you around the class room and show you projects they have done. They also made daddy a present. I'm sure he will wear his new ties often! Great job boys!

In other news I lost 10.5lbs in January on Weight Watchers! I am so excited and can't wait to lose the other 15lbs. I am now back to pre Ryan weight, but I can afford to be much healthier and thinner since I am done having babies and this is the body I will have forever. So hopefully the weight continues to disappear.

Even more exciting news is that my brother and Lauren got ENGAGED last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lauren has been part of the family for years so now it is just official. I am so excited for them and can't wait to share in all the joy that is to come.
Congrats Jonathan and Lauren!!! Love you guys...

Weight Update

As promised I have a weight update. This was my 3rd weigh in and I am pretty pumped with the results! I lost another 2lbs last week bringing my total to 9lbs lost!!! I still have about 15lbs to go before I reach my initial goal and then if I can lose an additional 5lbs that would be BONUS! I feel great, I'm never hungry and have so much more energy for the boys. We have been enjoying quality time playing in the evenings which I was too tired to do a few weeks ago. I hope to lose a minimum of 1lb this next week so I will hit the 10lb mark but exceeding that would be nice. I am trying to set mini goals for myself each week to work towards. So that's all for now! It's really working for me and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to my sweet family and friends for cheering me on as I work hard for this important goal. That's going to be me stretching in my little purple work out clothes soon...

I know that sounds pretty nasty together but stay with me... JoJo and PaPa helped the boys plant their own little garden several months back and they have enjoyed watering and watching their plants grow. Justin planted several types of flowers that we hope will bloom in the Spring and Jayson planted baby carrots. We caught him pulling a few out here and there just to try them because waiting is so hard. This weekend we told him he could pull them all out because we thought they were ready. Now for the toothpaste story. Ryan thinks he is a big boy since he can climb up and down the bathroom stool by himself. Sometimes he likes to just get up there and look at himself in the mirror and wave. Lately he has been very excited when I say it's time to brush teeth. He runs in there to beat his brothers and climbs up on the stool, grabs a toothbrush (often times not his) and starts brushing. He is very cooperative and even says "ahhhhhh" to open up his mouth for me or "cheese" when I need him to open wide. Here are a few pictures of him brushing his teeth with his brothers.

Yesterday I get a frantic call from Scott that said "Ryan ate the boys toothpaste, Do I need to take him to the emergency room?" He said it was all over Ryan and the bathroom and he doesn't know how much of it he ate. Well, I don't know how harmful toothpaste is to babies so I Google it. Sure enough it says Kid's Crest toothpaste, if they swallow any more than the amount you brush your teeth with to contact a medical professional or call Poison Control. I decided to call Ryan's doctor's office. They give me the number to Poison Control who said Ryan would have had to eat almost the entire tube to cause any problems. Thank Goodness!!! My crazy little man was just fine but we now know he like the taste of toothpaste so we have to keep it out of reach so he doesn't go for a little snack while we aren't looking. Ryan will definitely keep us on our toes...

My friend Kelly sent me this quote sometime in December and I will never forget it. I actually recite it several times a day to maintain focus. I am on a mission to get thin in 2010. I am done having babies and I need to get my body back in shape and live a healthy life for Scott and the boys. I joined Weight Watchers after Christmas and have really stuck to the program well so far. I am down 7lbs in 2 weeks and have my next weigh in on Wednesday. I hope to lose about 2lbs a week going forward until I reach my goal. I hope to be there by Easter. I have turned away so many treats lately in the office or lunch invites to Chipotle that I am so proud of myself. I have also been learning to cook over the last few months so I have been preparing great healthy meals for the family. I guess you could say this was my New Years Resolution for 2010. To improve my overall health as well as the health of my family and make more time for me. So I'm off to a great start. I have great support from my friends and I really think I can do it this time! I will keep you all posted on my progress and hopefully I will be a hot momma in a swim suit this season. You know... a momma type swimsuit. Gooooooooooooo ME!

New Year New Look!

I decided to freshen the look of my blog today! Yay! This will carry us through Valentines day and then I will do it again. It really is fun to change it often and get a little creative. Not too much going on in our world except the boys are back in school from Christmas break, it's freezing cold here in Houston, and we are looking forward to a play date on Saturday with Michelle and her kiddos. I'm excited all of my TV shows are back on and hope to get to the movies soon with Scott to see Avatar. We need a date night soon. Any babysitters??? Call me!

I was flipping through old photos and came across one of Ryan's baptism that was one year ago exactly. It's amazing how fast they grow up! Look at this cutie. He just laid there all sweet and quiet. Little did we know how rough and tough this baby would be! I guess he has to keep up with his big brothers so he has to be tough.
January will be a quiet month for us. No big plans. I look forward to enjoying the quality time with all my boys. We have a few birthdays in the family this month so I wish you all the best birthday ever! Happy Birthday Lisa, Tyler, and Royce!

I have really enjoyed being home for the past 5 days. I have done more around the house in the past 5 days than I have in the last 6 months. I cleaned out the kids rooms, organized, purchased new artwork and accessories and made the house feel so homey and warm. This momma LOVES a clean house. Scott and I also did a makeover on the boys bathroom. It was baseball stuff for a while and they asked for a monkey bathroom. We slowly bought monkey stuff and then BAM, we put it all together this weekend. I really love how it turned out. We didn't tell the boys we were doing it so once they went to sleep we got to work and the next morning they were so excited to walk into their monkey bathroom. We painted the walls and then hung the artwork and new shower curtain. Super cute and I love surprising them!!! Take a look...

We have some monkey towel hooks we need to hang up to finish it off. I bet they will outgrow this in a couple years but hey...we can always go back to the baseball bathroom.

The boys got an Easy Bake oven from Santa and here is some photos of the cookies they made yesterday. I forgot how freaking small all the easy bake goodies are. 6 tiny cookies are the size of one regular. Oh well, according to the boys it's "the best cookies they have ever had". I will try not to let that hurt my feelings because I think they are just in the moment. Here is Justin sprinkling the first batch of cookies.

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 has come and gone and boy was it exhausting!!! This year was a crazy one with going to Kingwood to celebrate with Scott's family Tuesday the 22nd and then leaving for West Wednesday morning the 23rd. It seemed like we were just going going going all week! Ryan was in a special mood on Christmas Day and fussed almost the entire day. It was nice to visit with all the family but I believe we will start having Christmas at home next year and see all the family at different times. I think for a few years anyways it will make Christmas more enjoyable for everyone. Here is me, Jonathan and the boys on Christmas Eve reading The Night before Christmas story.

Wow what a busy few weeks we have had!!! I can't believe Christmas is just days away now. I am really looking forward to some vacation time with the family. Here's what we have been up to. It snowed in Houston folks!!!! I didn't get many pictures but here are a few thanks to JoJo.

Go Texans Soccer!!!! The boys did a great job this season. Look at those cool trophies! They really improved and their confidence grew tremendously. Next will be T-ball in the Spring. I can't wait to be a sports mom again. I am the loudest cheerleader out there.
The next weekend we visited the Grand Lakes winter festival. They brought in snow and a snow mountain for the kids to sled down. They had a blast! I met up with a girlfriend Monica who snapped a family photo for us. Thanks Mon!

The next exciting news is that they taught themselves to ride their bikes without training wheels. I had always thought teaching them would be so hard and would take weeks. After a visit to their buddy Kai's house and watching him ride all around without training wheels, they immediately came home and asked us to take them off. They got right on their bikes and started practicing with no help!!! Then they just took off. These kids are awesome! I'm glad they figured it out because Santa has some shiny new big boy bikes coming soon.

As you saw from my last post, I have been making scarves for fun. I really wanted to surprise Jayson and Justin with one for Christmas. They picked out their yarn from the store but I told them I wouldn't have it ready for Christmas. They have been asking about them daily so I can't wait to see their faces Christmas morning when they open them up. The first colorful one is Justin's. He really wanted rainbow so I guided him to this one. The one he really wanted was hot pink and orange mainly. VERY GIRLY. Oh my son... Anyways, this one turned out cute. Here is a picture when I just started it. I actually finished it yesterday. I will post pics of him wearing it on Christmas.

My office had their annual Holiday Open House where the kids meet Santa. Ryan was a disaster on Santa's lap. He threw a fit and the photo is pretty funny. He looks terrified. HA!

After they mailed their letters to Santa at the Open House, they received letters from the North Pole in the mail. So cool!!! They also keep repeating that Santa said "Keep being good" so they say Santa says I have been good so I'm getting presents. I have to remind them that they still have to be good to get presents because he is still watching. :)

It has been a wonderful few weeks sharing all the joys of the season with my favorite boys. Their excitement is growing as Christmas Day gets closer. We look forward to celebrating Jesus' birthday with our family. Merry Christmas All, Love The Savoie's!!!

So Christmas is fast approaching and the kids are filled with excitement. The twins helped me put up the Christmas tree, fluff each branch, add lights and ornaments. They are very into it this year. They actually remembered where each decoration went in our house. Ryan just keeps pointing at the tree like he knows it's there and it's pretty but has no clue what's going on. The boys want to celebrate Jesus' birthday this year like a party with cake and singing. I can't say no to that. I'm just glad they know why we celebrate this day and not just for the gifts they will get. I just love this time of year. It makes me so happy. I look forward to making precious memories with my family.

On another note, I am super excited to debut my very first handmade scarf!!! The girls at work have been knitting for a while now and I knew I wanted to learn. So about 2 weeks ago I got the necessary supplies and got to work. I am proud to say I completed my first scarf today! It is far from perfect but it is made with love. I love it because the yarn changes colors from blues to purples so I have named it Blue Lagoon. What do you think??? Fun project. I am addicted and have already bought more yarn to get started on the next one. It will be 2 different yarns stitched together this time, a red and a red with burgundy. Hopefully I can make the next one with fewer mistakes. It is so nice to have a hobby of my own now. Love it!

I really love this time of year!!! The cooler weather, the excitement of the holidays, and all the fun family time to look forward to. Exciting news...my friend Vicki had her baby boy Aaron last week and he is such a sweetie! I cant wait to hold him again.

Lately we have been up to the following; soccer for Jayson and Justin, teeth for Ryan ( he now has 12 chompers), and enjoying the beautiful weather outside. Anything we can do outside, we do it. Ryan is an outdoors baby and would be happy all day if we just played outside. We have visited parks and playgrounds a lot. This Friday the big boys leave for church camp. It is the annual trip to Mo Ranch with my parents that they look forward to all year. It will be nice to spend some quality time with Ryan while they are gone. Scott and I plan to make a trip to Humble/Kingwood area to visit his parents on Saturday. I left my glasses there last weekend and I am BLIND without them. I wear them every night before bed so it has been rough this week. Last weekend I went to my friend Jennifer's Fall Fling party in Humble. It was awesome. She really knows how to throw a party. Food was amazing, every kind of wine and beer you could think of and just a great group of people. Fun times. Tonight it is Happy Hour with my bestie Chessa! Can't wait for ritas and girl talk!!!

Halloween has come and gone but we sure had a blast this year. Our church picnic kicked off last weekend and it was really fun! I don't think the boys have ever had as much sugar in their life as they did that day. Cotton candy, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, popcorn machine, AND a pinata! I promised the boys a year ago I would go on their next field trip to Dewberry Farms. I just had Ryan last year when their school went there for the first time so daddy got to with them. I took the day off of work (a beautiful day to be outside) and spent the whole day with the big boys. It was such a fun time. Here are a few photos of the day.

What a great day it was! I love spending time with my boys. This is a memory I will never forget. I am sure we will be back to visit Dewberry Farms again soon. Farmer Dan told us they have a pumpkin patch lighting event where they light up 500 carved pumpkins and you can walk through and enjoy all the designs. They also have a Christmas tree farm where you can go and cut down your own tree. I have never done the fresh Christmas tree thing but maybe someday.

I am the first to admit I am a proud mom, but to see my little guys out there in their uniforms and playing soccer so well I had a moment I will never forget. First of all I cant believe my babies are 5 years old already because it seems only yesterday I brought them home from the hospital. Then to actually be watching my kids playing a sport I immediately flashed back to the good ol' cheerleading days where I was yelling and cheering the team on from the sidelines. It has so much more meaning when it's your boys out there giving it there all. I was so proud of them. At one point, Jayson was the goalie (which is their favorite position) and he blocked a ball that the other team kicked in and he immediately looked over at me to make sure I saw him do it with the biggest smile on his face that lasted for a good long while. They both had so much fun out there. It also melted my heart to hear them cheer for each other as they rotated in and out of the game. Their sweet voices saying "Go Jayce, Great job! or Go Justin, Get it!" Too cute! Not to mention their uniforms are hanging on them because they are so little. Adorable! I'm sure as they get older and better at sports I wont use the words cute and adorable to describe them. HA! It was also Grandparents Day so JoJo and PaPa were there to cheer on their favorite players. The Savoie's were out of town or I'm sure they would have been there too. I just can't wait to watch them get better and better at sports as they grow up and you can bet I will be there at EVERY game with my loud cheers and my spirit sprinkles for my boys. I love them so much and could not have been more proud than I was that day.

P.S. They both scored a goal at their first game even though FFPS doesn't keep score, momma knows! Also, little brother Ryan was cheering his brothers on. Pretty cool... Some photos of the day.

Ryan's 1st Birthday and Soccer Begins!

This weekend was definitely one to remember. My baby boy turned 1 year old on October 2nd and we had a great time celebrating. Mom came in town last Thursday and we took the twins to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3D. It was pretty good. Friday we took Ryan to have his 1 year old portraits taken and here is what we got. I LOVE THEM!!!

Yes I really did put him in an elephant costume!!! I just couldn't resist. Such a sweet face!

Friday night was Jayson and Justin's first soccer practice. I can't wait to cheer them on each week. I will get to put my spirit sprinkles to use again, but no jumps or back flips will be happening. I would certainly get an injury. They get their uniforms tomorrow. The kids named the team so they are the TEXANS! Gooooooooooo Texans! Thanks goodness the giraffes, spiders, and elephants didn't win the popular vote because those were a few names thrown out there.

Ahhhhh, my handsome little boys. I am such a proud momma! Saturday is when we had Ryan's birthday party. It was so much fun. We had The very Hungry Caterpillar theme and I made the cake. I also made the banner hung up behind his high chair. I am very impressed with my crafty abilities for his party. Here are a few photos from the party.

Overall, a great weekend! I look forward to all the fun Fall festivities ahead. I can't believe the holidays are already upon us too. Whew, exciting and exhausting to think about. I do love this time of year.

This is an exciting week in the Savoie household. JoJo is coming in town on Thursday and we are picking the big boys up from school to go see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3D. I have been waiting months to take them to this movie. Vicki bought the boys this book and they love it so I hope they love the movie too. Also, Ryan's 1st Birthday party is this weekend so there will be party pics coming next week. I cant believe my baby is turning 1. I am so proud to be the mommy of 3 boys. They amaze me with something new everyday and melt my heart with their love in a way I could have never imagined. I feel so blessed that God gave them to me and I look forward to making wonderful memories with my family for years to come. Can you tell I am a little emotional??? I am so happy and so grateful for all that I have.

A Day of Firsts...

Today was Jayson and Justin's first day of Pre-K at New Hope Child Development Center! They were both very excited about their new school, teacher Ms. Donna, and making new friends. I just know they will have a great first day.

Awww such angels. I cant believe they will be in Kindergarten next year!!! They grow up so fast. Another first is that Ryan got his first pair of shoes!!! This boy has been walking since he was 9 months old and he is just zipping all around now and wants to be down walking all the time. GiGi bought his first pair of shoes this weekend and he was so proud. He has been wearing them all day now and loving them! Such a big boy Ryan!

Ryan also rode in his big boy car seat for the first time this week! No more infant car seat for this boy. Look how proud he is... He gets to watch movies in the car just like his brothers now.

This is a view of my back seat now. So many boys!!! It was a great week of firsts for us. In other news, we have Steph's wedding this weekend which I will be the Matron of Honor in and we celebrated her bachelorette party this weekend. I will only show you one picture of this crazy night. August happenings...

I cant believe August is about to be over already. Ryan is almost 11 months old now so yes I am starting to plan his birthday party!!! We will be doing The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme and I am attempting to make the cake. I will post pics of the grand event. Jayson and Justin have visited both grandparents this summer for a week so they are officially spoiled rotten now. We are trying to ease them back into reality from grandparent land to the real world. They start Pre-K on September 8th and it cant come soon enough. I think they are ready for the structured learning. We are also signing them up for soccer soon. I cant wait to see how they do with that. Ryan has been a walking fool! He is getting pretty fast now too. I just love to watch him follow his big brothers all around the house. He also loves to dance now too. When I put on music he starts bouncing and waving his arms around. It just melts my heart! Scott's had some problems with his MS lately so we are very excited that he is starting a new treatment tomorrow. It is a monthly infusion called Tysabri and it is supposed to be the most promising of all the MS medications at this time as far as improving functions he has lost. The other drugs just slow the progression of the disease. We are both very hopeful that this medication will help him get better and help maintain his mobility for many years to come. On a positive note, we celebrated my brother's girlfriend Lauren's graduation this weekend. She got her DPT in Physical Therapy and we are so proud! Great job Lauren. Have a great week and I promise to post new pictures and videos soon.

Catch up! July flies by...

Wow, July really flew on by quickly. We had a whirlwind of activities the last few weeks so I haven't had a moment to update the blog. Everyone is doing well. The boys just returned from a weekend visit to JoJo and PaPa's house. It was very quiet without them and I know Ryan missed his playmates. I spent a lot of time with Chessa over the weekend and had lots of adult beverages. It was nice! I am looking forward to hanging out with Jayson and Justin tonight. Work has been busy and stressful. Scott had his hours/days cut back at work since business has slowed so we are really feeling the effects of the poor economy for the first time. So, we will have to keep it basic for a while until things improve. I will have to get creative on entertainment for the family. Here are a few pictures from the last several weeks playing with friends. Highlights include: Ryan started walking!!! Yay! The boys visited the Grantham's in Tomball for a night so I could go to a surprise party for my friend Vicki, and a visit to GiGi and Grandad's house to see their new puppy. We also had a visit to Dr Fan for 5 year old and 9 month old check ups. The twins are very healthy and didn't have to have shots. They were pumped about that. Jayson weighs 34lbs and Justin weighs 31.5 lbs. Ryan weighs 20lbs 11oz. He is in the 85% for his age in height and 40% in weight. The twins are 5% overall. Little guys! Ryan had a shot and blood work done. He has to see an eye Dr about his blocked tear duct. BOO! He may have to have that surgery to open it up. Oh well. Overall healthy happy boys. The boys are very into the show So you think you can dance. This one group dance in particular really got them excited. For the last week they have watched it repeatedly and learned the moves. That has been very entertaining to say the least.
I can't believe it's August already. My friend Holly is having her baby boy today. Super exciting!!! Mom is coming in town in a few weeks for my brother Jonathan's girlfriend Lauren (who is practically family) graduation party. Then Stephanie's wedding is fast approaching. Can't wait to celebrate with them.So much to look forward to in the coming weeks! I'll try to do better with updates.

We also briefly caught an Astros game on Monday so here are a few pictures from that. The train, ice cream and cotten candy were the kids favorite part. They were ready to go by the 3rd inning. Big bummer for me and Scott. Oh well, someday we will go without children and enjoy a whole game. We ate at Chuys before the game so that was a highlight too. :)

The boys had a great week at VBS in Waco. Of course mom spoiled them everyday while they were visiting her. They went to the Children's museum, saw the movie UP, went to Lake Whitney and they "drove" a boat, and they played with her new kittens non stop. Always fun times when we visit West. We will be back in a few weeks for Grandpa's 80th birthday party. Here are a couple pics.

Work has been sooooooooooooooo busy lately. I can hardly catch my breath. Good thing I have great friends here to lighten things up when I need it. :) The boys last day of school is next Tuesday. I sure hope Scott knows what he's in for. It could be a wild couple of months at home with all 3!

Family Fun in Kingwood and Heading to West

Last weekend Scott's sister Gina and her kids Tyler and Kaley came to visit us in Houston. We all went over to GiGi and Grandad's house for the day and had a wonderful time hanging out and catching up. Aunt Lisa and Uncle John were there too with cousins Megan and Natalie. It was the first time all the kids have been together at one time since Ryan joined the family. We will have to visit Aunt Gina in Colorado very soon. :) GiGi had a ton of great food, we drank wine and played Mexican Train. Great Fun! Today Ryan and I are heading to West to visit JoJo and PaPa for the weekend. Jayson and Justin have been there for a few days already going to VBS at JoJo's church. They have been super spoiled while they have been there. I hope they dont think it will be that exciting once they get back home. They will be very disappointed. Anyway, I cant wait to sit out on the porch, drink wine, and take in the fresh country air...

30 BABY!!!!

Well I finally turned 30 on June 8th! I think I may be the last of my group of friends to cross that bridge but now I'm here. The birthday started off with mom and me going shopping. It was fun girl time. She took me to lunch at Joe's Crab Shack and then I got my haircut too. After that we rushed home so I could get ready for my fun Happy Hour I had planned at Chuy's! There were about 20 friends that showed up to celebrate my birthday. I was told I had to take a shot for each decade so I "had" to do it. I am pretty proud that I was able to take down 3 Patron shots and 2 margaritas and still walk out with just a slight bubbly happy feeling. I didn't want to be the sloppy drunk girl so I paced myself and did very well. My wonderful friends showered me with sweet cards, gifts, life changing margarita cupcakes, and great laughs. I will never forget the big 3-0! Thanks everyone!!!Then when I went back to the office, and my coworkers had a surprise waiting for me at my desk. Check it out... Anyone who knows me at all knows I love purple so it was so appropriate that they did this for me. Now we have these purple balloons all over the dept. There are literally like 144 balloons here. They filled every inch of my work space. ahhhh...makes me smile. Well, another birthday in the books. I look forward to many more.

JoJo came to visit last weekend so we could kick of the birthday festivities. It is a big one this year for me so we started the celebrating early with the family. Lauren (my bro's girlfriend) got tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof starring Topal for Saturday and we had a blast. The show far exceeded my expectations. It is still in town so you should go check it out if you haven't. My mom bought the show tickets and dinner to celebrate me and my brothers June birthdays. So after the show we headed to Kenny and Ziggy's to eat. I was pretty nervous about dining at a place that served tongue cooked many different ways. The menu was pretty extensive so our sweet waitress helped this first timer out and explained everything. My dad really knows how to treat us so he ordered a few bottles of wine to start of and then he ordered the tongue appetizer!!! We ordered several appetizers just to try different things but I was still forced to try the tongue. It wasn't terrible, but I just can't get the thoughts out of my head that I am eating tongue. Wheck! Dinner was fabulous and so was dessert! The eclair was so big that 9 of us split it. Just as we were finishing up, my mom whispered to me..."look who just walked in...It's Mattress Mack!" So at that point I had several glasses of wine in me and said "I want my picture with him for my birthday" As he was about to walk back outside, our sweet waitress ran from the back of the restaurant to the front to chase him down for a picture with me. I watched as he came walking back towards me with a big smile on his face. He came over and wished me a Happy Birthday and said I was making him blush. Awwww. He is pretty cute for an older gentleman...I'm just saying. Don't judge me. Of course the whole table of family and friends were cracking up at me (we had all had lots of wine at this point). It was such a fun night! Then Lauren and Jonathan came back to the house with her homemade Italian Creme Cake cupcakes. YUM! Thanks Lauren!!! It was a very memorable time to say the least. Of course I have to post some cute pics of the boys too. Ryan has discovered the boys play kitchen and he loves it!!! He is just tall enough to reach over the top and play with the food and pots and pans now.

The big boys are excited about pajama and movie day at school today. I dressed them all in matching pj's and had to snap a photo. HA! Too cute. They also wore their slippers to school this morning. They didn't understand why mommy couldn't have pajama day at work today too. We had quite a long conversation about this last night.
They are only staying at their current school through June and then they will be home with daddy July and August until their new school starts in September. Good luck Scott! I will be praying for you each day. They are a handful.

Memorial Day Weekend and Happy Birthday Hub!

I had a nice, long 4 days off of work for Memorial Day weekend. We had so much family fun packed into those days! I took the big boys to their first 3D movie- Monsters vs. Aliens, we went to Chuck E Cheese to play games, went to Chessa's mom's house to relax by the pool and have adult beverages all day Saturday, and Vicki and Caitlyn came over to play and visit our neighborhood pool. It was the most enjoyable weekend I have had in quite some time. The kids were all happy and in fantastic moods. Great time. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Today is Scott and my 8th Wedding Anniversary! 5/19/01 was the magical day we said "I do". I can't believe we have been married for that long already. We sure have come a long way and we will continue to work hard to make our marriage a success. We have so much to be thankful for with so many blessings in our lives. Thank you God for my partner, our children and the wonderful life we have. I look forward to many more years of mostly wedded bliss. :) I love you Scott!

New School News and Happy Ryan!

The boys are starting a new school in September and they are very excited about it. It is called New Hope Child Development Center at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Katy. They will go Monday through Thursday from 9-2:30. They met their teacher this week and she took pictures of them to hang in the classroom and help her learn their names. It is a transition class for kids who are turning 5 this summer and is sort of a bridge between Pre-K and Kindergarten. I think it will be great for them and be the best decision in the long run to wait until they are 6 to start elementary school. Here are a few pictures of the boys the day we went to see the school. The were amazed at the little benches and chairs in the front and asked me to take their picture in front of everything. HA!

Splash Park

We enjoyed the mostly beautiful weather this weekend playing outside. We have a splash park in the neighborhood that the kids have been asking to go to. I decided to put Ryan's swimsuit on just for fun and didn't think he would really be getting out of his stroller but boy was I wrong! I sat him down by a little sprayer and he had a blast splashing in the water. He stayed there for about 20 minutes and then got really brave and started crawling through tunnels and playing in the big sprayers. He is a water baby for sure. Justin tripped and fell shortly after we arrived and he freaks out with any kind of scrape so he sat out the rest of the time. Jayson was running all around laughing and playing in the water with Ryan. Great fun!

We also went to church Sunday since everyone was healthy in our household and I left Ryan in the baby room. He was so happy with all the new exciting toys there. Here is a picture from church. After church we visited mommy's friend Holly to give away some of Ryan's baby gear. Holly is expecting another boy in August. It was a little sad to let go of some of Ryan's baby things, but my entry way sure looks cleaner now! We also visited my friend Jennifer who gave us 10 cans of Similac formula!!! Jackpot! Last night was pretty relaxing at home. I am really looking forward to a long Memorial Day holiday weekend...

Mother's Day!

My Mother's day started at 3am when Ryan woke up crying uncontrollably. I tried everything to console him; Tylenol, rocking, diaper change, etc. He started to doze off so I put him back down in the crib and then he started screaming again. I went back to bed to let him "cry it out". I turned off the baby monitor and woke up at 6am to hear him crying again. I got up and did the routine again of rocking, bouncing, giving him water to drink and then tried to lay him back down so I could get a little more sleep. He was still crying at 6:45am so I got up with him again for good. Come to find out he now has 3 top teeth that all decided to make an appearance this weekend. Poor baby! The front two teeth have come in more and a third tooth poked his way through as well. Ryan was upset until the afternoon since he finally napped for 2 1/2 hours and then awoke as my smiley happy baby.

Jayson and Justin (Scott too) made this Mother's Day THE BEST! They were so loving and made me feel so special. They made me breakfast and coffee in bed. They hopped in bed to eat their breakfast too. They gave me handmade crafts from school, pretty yellow flowers, and a card which I opened to hear their sweet voices say "I love you Mom, Happy Mother's Day". It was one of those record your own voice cards-- very cool! All day they drew me pictures and they continued to tell me they love me. Here are some pics.
I also enjoyed a shopping trip to buy some new clothes (I have now lost 30lbs since having Ryan!) and a trip to Berri Blends for some frozen yogurt with Chessa. Instead of fighting the crowds, Scott cooked steak and we had shrimp, mushrooms, angel hair pasta and salad. Then we had angel food cake with whip cream and strawberries too. YUM. Such a great day.

Ryan is 7 Months Old

My baby boy is 7 months old now!!! He is growing up so fast. He amazes me every day at how much he is already doing. He is laughing all the time, sitting up and playing with toys, crawling all over the house, and now he is pulling up too on the couch or chairs, or even your leg! He loves to eat almost everything except baby jar food mac and cheese. I have to say it does look pretty nasty, but surely he will love the real thing like I do. Ryan loves playing with his big brothers. They play trucks, roll balls, and the big boys love to tickle and kiss him all the time too. I am so blessed to have these great kids. Thank you God for my family! May everyone stay healthy and happy.

Swim Class

My little fish! This is the boys second swim class so far so they are still a bit rusty from last summer, but they just love it! They go to Sea Sport Scuba and Swim in Katy and have a blast every time. I took some video of them doing the breast stroke or "go around the pizza and cut" as the teacher calls it. They do a pretty good job! I cant wait to watch them progress over the next six weeks. Ryan enjoyed watching them by the side of the pool last night. Of course he wanted to jump in with them since it looked like a giant bath tub to him.

Visit from Uncle J and Lauren and Boys Prayers

It was a nice weekend weather wise and for relaxing too. Jonathan and Lauren came to visit Saturday and we packed picnic baskets and headed to the park. It was such a pretty day, but it had stormed the night before. We put down our blankets to sit down and eat lunch and soon realized we were going to get a little wet on our bottoms. The ground was still a wet from the rain Friday night, but we decided not to care. It was so fun sitting outside to eat. Ryan had a ball crawling around all over the blanket. After we ate the boys and Uncle J and Lauren played on the playground for a while and me, Scott and Ryan walked over to the lake to watch the ducks and feed Ryan lunch. The hit of the day was the bubble blowers that Uncle J and Lauren brought them. They blew tons of bubbles with the push of a button. No more old school bubbles where you have to blow them yourself! Super cool toy. After the park we cam back to our house to hang out. Thanks for the great visit! Sunday we went to church and then to our favorite mexican restaurant- La Cocina. YUM! We just bummed around the house the rest of the day. I took some cute video this weekend. Ryan loves the vacuum and has fun chasing it. The boys got out their toy vacuum and he would follow them all over the house with it. It was pretty funny. He is a fast crawler now...take a look.

Another cute video I took is of the big boys. Every night before I put them to bed we say prayers. They must have said them over and over 6-7 times last night (stalling to go to sleep I believe). I went and got the video camera but I took the video vertical and I can't turn it. So turn your head side ways and enjoy. Oh well, I tried.

The boys start swim lessons on Tuesday so that is very exciting. I can't wait to see my little fish swimming all over. Stay tuned for videos of that! I can't believe May is almost here. I am ready to put April behind us though with all the sickness that we dealt with. Have a great week!

Cute even when sick...

It has been an exhausting 3 weeks of ear infections, stomach viruses, colds, allergies, shots, and doctor visits! I was so spoiled with the twins never being sick at all that I believe Ryan will make up for the both of them. Scott took him to the doctor again this morning and guess what...another ear infection. Woohoo! I know something is wrong when that boy refuses a bottle. He loves to eat. God please make my family healthy and strong as fast as possible! I never knew how draining all of this was. All of us have been under the weather the past few weeks, so I am looking forward to happiness and wellness very soon! We still had a nice weekend even with all the sick people in our house. GiGi and Grandad took us to lunch Sunday and it was a gorgeous day here! We sat outside Pappadeaux in the courtyard for a while just enjoying the sunshine. After that we came back to the house to play. Here are some photos from this weekend. So cute even when they're sick.

Easter, West, Bath and Dr appt

Whew! It has been a busy week. Easter in West was fun and exhausting at the same time. The kids love being on the farm with JoJo and PaPa and they especially love to hunt Easter eggs there. Here are a few pictures from the trip.Ryan didn't understand what was going on, but he sure liked the plastic eggs and his Easter basket full of baby food. He also got a camo bag with his name and some monkey pj's.Jayson thought the Easter bunny was so silly for hiding an egg in his shoes. He kept saying "that Easter bunny is so funny mommy".

Once we returned home, we bathed Ryan in his big boy bath seat! He also had his 6 month dr appt. He weighs 18lbs 6oz and is above average in height and weight. Big Boy! Here he is at the dr visit. He only had to get 2 shots this time.

Bluebonnets!

Of course we had to follow the Texas tradition of bluebonnet pictures. While I was in West visiting my mom we were driving home from shopping in Hillsboro and I just pulled over about a mile from her house and took these pictures. The kids could have been in cuter clothes, but hey, we did it! We ended up with a few winners between me and my mom both flashing the camera at the kids. Ryan was asleep in the car so I woke him up for the photo session. He was super excited about all the pretty flowers surrounding him! It turned out to be a really fun part of the day. This brings back so many memories from when I was a kid. My mom always took bluebonnet pictures of me and Jonathan. She still has them hanging up in her house today. They look so ancient to me now... Jayson and Justin loved the bluebonnets and the red bonnets (Indian Paint brushes) and the sunflowers (yellow weed flowers) too. They thought they were so smart naming all of the flowers. Well, one out of three isn't bad! Happy Easter to all! I will have more pictures to post in a few days I'm sure. Enjoy!

Bunny Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday was our breakfast with the Easter Bunny and egg hunt at church. It was fun to dress the boys up all the same in their cute clothes and enjoy this event. We were first in line for a picture with the bunny. Justin pointed out to me that the silly bunny was wearing tennis shoes. It is funny the things they notice. Here is the picture. After bunny photos and breakfast we went outside to hunt eggs. They made it tricky for the kids and asked them to pick up 10 eggs, 2 of each color. It made it more fun this way. Then they turned their eggs in for a goodie bag full of surprises.

After all of the fun we took Ryan to the dr because he had a rough night and wasn't acting like himself. Come to find out he has an ear infection. Poor baby! This is amazingly the first ear infection of all the boys. He is still happy and playful. here he is with a toy from GiGi. It is a play mat you fill with water and then lay on the floor for them to play with water and toys inside the mat. Ryan loved it!
This Thursday the boys have their Easter party at school and then we are heading to JoJo and PaPa's house in West! We can't wait!!! We will be in West until next Monday. I just love short weeks at work and vacation time with the family!

6 Months Old Today!!!

It's hard to believe that Ryan is already been in our lives for 6 months. He is a wonderful addition to the family. The boys tell me over and over that they are so happy we have baby Ryan. His big brothers enjoy playing with him, talking to him, and making him laugh more than I could have ever known. Thank you God for blessing us with this precious gift! I am so grateful for all of my boys.

At 6 months, Ryan is doing so many fun things. He started crawling a few days ago which was very exciting. I put him down in his room and walked into the kitchen. Before I knew it, I looked back and Ryan was down near my feet. He had followed me to the kitchen. Justin saw him and was screaming "mommy Ryan's crawling" "He's a big boy mommy". Of course I got out the video camera. Check him out.

Ryan is also sitting up mostly by himself. He is playing with big boy toys now too. He has 2 bottom teeth and it looks like a top tooth is coming next. He drools a lot and loves to chew on a hard linking ring. Ryan has an amazing smile that lights up a room and he has the cutest dimple on his left cheek. He is a chubby boy wearing size 9-12 month clothes already. He loves to eat about anything now except for peaches which he will gag and make funny faces with. He plays with his feet a lot and immediately tries to roll over when put down on his changing table so he can make it as difficult as possible to change him. He's funny, smiley, and loves to be held and cuddled all the time. Happy Half Birthday Ryan!!! We can't wait to share many more fun times with you as you grow up.

It was taken around Valentine's Day when we were on our way to a family breakfast and they just looked so cute that I piled them all together on the couch for a photo. Gymnastics and Ducks

The boys had a blast at Emily and Abby's gymnastics birthday party! They were so proud of themselves on the balance beam. They said they want to take gymnastics lessons now, so after swim lessons and soccor this Fall, we will look into that. Thanks for the great party Grantham girls!!! Saturday was a fun day with GiGi and Grandad. First we went to eat lunch at Ragin Cajun and feed the ducks. The ducks were crazy! One of them bit Justin's finger. Those greedy things couldn't wait for you to throw them a piece of bread so they just snatched it out of your hand. It was a beautiful day aside from the wind.

Sunday was an awful day. Justin was sick all day and night. We got pretty quick at throwing him in the tub to wash, stripping his bed and putting clean sheets on, and getting him back in bed in minutes. Poor kid. He is doing a bit better today. Ryan cut another tooth this weekend so he was pretty fussy and woke up throughout the night crying. He is still so darn cute at 3am. I just love my boys. Well, have a great week! I can't believe it will be April in a few days!

Weekend Excitement

This weekend the boys went to Gianna's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. This is the 3rd girls birthday party this month and we have another two to go! Friends Emily and Abby have a gymnastics party this weekend and then we are back to Chuck E Cheese the next weekend. I love the girly parties with Barbie, Tinkerbell, and Princess themes since I never get to do those. They always have a blast and I enjoy visiting with the parents. Here is a photo of the boys and Gianna. I also took Ryan to the park at the front of our neighborhood. He doesn't quite sit up yet and he isn't too sure about being in the grass so it was hilarious to watch him when I put him down. His face was was too funny.

Chili-Chili-Bang-Bang!

Today was our Chili Cook-off at good ol' DWH. I just love all the people I work with so much. They make going to work everyday so fun. Our Team name was the Chili-Chili-Bang-Bangs, our AWESOME chili that Kelly made was named Chili Today, Hot Tamale, and we also entered Boom goes the Dynamite Corn courtesy of Melody. Of course our entries were the best by far but we didn't win. I had a blast working with all my girlfriends to make it all come together. Aimee designed our cute shirts. Here are some pictures.

I decided to dust off the old Jane Fonda workout video my mom gave me in high school and actually exercise for the first time since having Ryan. I have my 30th birthday in June and one of my best friends is getting married in September so I need to get in shape. I popped in the old VHS tape and started dancing around the living room with all the kids looking at me like I was crazy. Jayson in his sweet innocent voice walked up and pointed at the TV and said "mom, why she doesn't have a shirt and pants on?" Well Jayson, that is called a leotard and it is work out clothes. Then he started laughing as we did lunges and said "ewwww" as we see a close up of Jane clenching her tight buttocks. The boys then thought it would be fun to do the entire video with me. Scott was cracking up as he watched all of us jumping around following all of Jane's moves. Finally after we had done the cool down, we laid down to do crunches. Jayson gave up at that point but Justin did every single stomach crunch and even copied all of the sound effects that Jane made. It was hilarious. Here's to you Jane Fonda in your yellow and black leotard with a belt and leg warmers! Thanks for making me sweat all of these years! I am ready for round 2 tonight...

It was a great weekend with the kids and the Savoie's at the rodeo. It is funny how the kids were so into the animals last year and this year they were all about the rides. All I heard from Jayson was "I want to ride a roller coaster" over and over. He ended up riding it 3 times! I felt like a kid again too on all the carnival rides. It was great! Holy Sweet Potatoes! We found a winner. Ryan hasn't been eating baby foods well yet. That is until he discovered sweet potatoes. He ate them and loved them. Hooray! Ryan also cut his first tooth this weekend. He was a drooling, fussy baby and we finally figured out why on Sunday morning. I saw the tiny little white tip of the tooth had come through his gums over night. The second one is poking through also but isn't all the way through. I can't believe my 5 month old baby is about to have two teeth! I will try to get a picture of them to post very soon. Other new things Ryan is doing now is that he gets up and rocks on his hands and knees and tries to crawl. He does move around but I wouldn't call it a crawl yet. He is the happiest, sweetest baby ever. I just love coming home from work and cuddling with him. Jayson and Justin found out that it is fun to play at our neighbor Ashley's house so they were there for hours last night. She has a trampoline and many big kid games so they weren't happen when it was time to come home. I did enjoy the quiet, alone time with Ryan while they were gone. Of course all night I was asked if we could get a trampoline too. I said no but they could go jump on Ashley's anytime! This weekend was Caitlyn's 2nd birthday party at Monkey Bizness. The boys had a great time playing and I got to visit some great girlfriends who used to work with me at David Weekley Homes. I miss those girls so much! Here are a few pics from the party.

After the party, we went to Kingwood to visit the Savoie's and to see Scott's family from Louisiana. Fun weekend! Last night Ryan was being super cute kicking like crazy in his bath. Here is the video.

BIG WEEKEND!!!

This was a very exciting weekend from start to finish. One of my best friends Stephanie got engaged!!! It was very sweet how thought out and special he made it all for her. Then of course it was Valentine's Day with all my favorite guys. We had a nice breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then went throughout Katy looking at neighborhoods. Scott and I are wanting to move into Katy for many reasons; schools, closer to work for both of us, a 4 bedroom bigger home and so much more. We have found a few older neighborhoods that we really like so we will see how soon we can make this happen. We at least want to move before the boys start elementary school in the Fall of 2010. So the rest of the day Saturday was pretty relaxing. We played at the park and watched movies at home. Ryan ate rice cereal for the first time on Saturday. He was so funny and wasn't too sure that he liked it very much. Hopefully it will grow on him. He was laughing at all the funny faces and yummy noises I was making as I fed him. Maybe rice cereal isn't his thing, but I bet he will love all the other food that is to come. Sunday we went to church and then it was our neighbors birthday so he invited us over for mexican food. YUM! Then Steph and Landon invited us over for dinner and he made ribs which were awesome!!! The kids ran around and played in the backyard for hours. Steph and I did some wedding planning and drank wine. Ryan was happy to play on the floor or sit in his stroller and watch us. Needless to say after a long weekend, the boys crashed in the car on the way home. It was busy but very fun!

4 Month check-up for Ry Ry

Ryan went in for his 4 month Dr appt and he is a healthy boy! He weighs 16lbs 3 oz now. He is 90% in height and 75% in weight. Maybe he will be tall!!! He will surely out grow his brothers quickly. Justin weighed 16lbs at a year old. It was nice to spend the day with Ryan and cuddle with him. Here he is at Dr Fan's office. (before shots) I brought him to work afterwards for a visit and he was being so cute showing off his tricks of rolling, grabbing his feet, and he did a new trick too. He got on his knees and forearms and started doing an army crawl. He was scooting around. I need to baby proof my house fast!!! My friend Aimee held him as he crashed from all the excitement. Jayson and Justin had picture day at school today so hopefully we got some winning photos. It was rodeo pictures so they wore cowboy hats and boots. Too cute! It was their Valentine's Day party too so I cant wait to hear all about that when I get home. I'm sure they will be nice and sugared up for me.
